Special thanks to all the donors in Columbia’s recent blood drive benefitting the Southwest Washington Blood Program. Since each unit of blood collected can be separated into red cells, platelets and plasma, blood donated by our 27 volunteers will benefit up to 78 patients in our community. Plan to join us in our next blood drive coming in November.
The Southwest Washington Blood Program is a volunteer-supported, nonprofit community resource that was created by the Puget Sound Blood Center to address the growing need for blood and medical services in Southwest Washington. The Blood Program has been serving Southwest Washington since 2004 and provides blood to the hospitals in Clark and Cowlitz Counties.
